300-Plus Apartment Complex Breaks Ground In Groton
Construction has begun on a large residential community in Groton at a former school site.
GROTON, CT — A groundbreaking for a 304-unit residential complex was held last week. Dubbed Triton Square, the four-story apartment complex is located at the former William Seely School site.
The 14-acre property is located off I-95 and State Routes 12 and 184. The Simon Konover Company is one of the investors along with LakeMarsh Investments, LLC (Mark Keeney and Ross Ogden), DonMar Development (Anthony Di Gioia and Michael Di Gioia), and ELV Associates, Inc.
"Triton Square is perfect for people that want to live close to work and are employed at Electric Boat, Pfizer or other local businesses," The Simon Konover Company said in a statement.

The residential complex will include studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. Community amenities will include a clubhouse, pool, fitness center, yoga room, library, work-from-home space, fire pits, and dog park.
Officials at the groundbreaking described the project as a much-needed addition to the housing market. The first units are expected to be available in summer 2024.
