4 Charged In Assault, Robbery In Groton Store Parking Lot

A masked group assaulted a victim and stole his cell phone last month, according to a report.

GROTON, CT — Four men are facing charges after a man was assaulted and had his cell phone stolen last month, according to The Day of New London.

Police arrived at Pep Boys at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 23 at the intersection of Gold Star Highway and Colonel Ledyard Highway. The victim told police that he had been attacked for about 15 seconds before the assailants ran away with his phone.

A Norwich resident, two Windham residents, and a Waterford resident were charged in the case.
