• After Years Of Delays, Seawall Finally Complete In Groton (patch.com) — Shore Avenue in Groton has finally reopened after a yearslong seawall reconstruction that ran over schedule and budget but is now complete and protecting the shoreline. City and town officials, backed by state grants and federal relief funds, marked the reopening with a ribbon cutting, and the mayor has promised a public review of what caused the delays and cost overruns.    

• More Groton City streets to become resident-only parking (theday.com) — Groton residents could soon see more streets restricted to resident-only parking, as the City Council prepares to vote Monday on changes affecting Virginia Avenue, Warner Street, West Street and Shore Avenue. Officials say the move responds to overflow parking from Electric Boat and growing safety concerns, while broader ordinance revisions and new off-site parking options are also being developed.
