Road Closures Announced For Memorial Day Parades In Noank, Mystic

GROTON, CT — Drivers should expect road closures and traffic Monday in the Noank and downtown Mystic areas due to two Memorial Day parades, Town of Groton police said.

The Noank parade has been scheduled for Monday morning, followed by the afternoon Mystic parade.

The following Noank roads will be closed starting at about 9:30 a.m. on Monday and will remain closed until shortly after the parade concludes:

• Elm Street from Brook Street to Prospect Hill Road
• The Noank Village area, including Mosher Avenue, Ward Avenue, Main Street, Pearl Street, High Street and Sylvan Street

The following Mystic roads will be closed starting at about 12:30 p.m., on Monday and will remain closed until about 30 minutes after parade concludes:

• West Main Street from the Drawbridge to High Street
• Water Street from West Main Street to New London Road
• Pearl Street from West Main Street to Clift Street
• Gravel Street from West Main Street to Clift Street

Moderate traffic is anticipated in and around the Noank and downtown Mystic areas before, during and after the parade.
