GROTON, CT — Two people are facing numerous charges after police said they found them with drugs in separate incidents last week.
Groton City police stopped a vehicle July 2 at 6:05 p.m.
Police learned that Bennie Gray Jr., 47, of Norwich, had a warrant out for his arrest. He was taken into custody based on that warrant.
Police searched the vehicle and said they found crack cocaine and fentanyl.
Gray was charged with possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession with the intent to sell narcotics, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, and operation of a drug factory.
He was also charged on a warrant with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
Gray was held on $500,000 cash/surety bond and scheduled to appear in court Monday.
Also on July 2, at 10:41 p.m., Groton City police stopped a vehicle on Bridge Street.
A K-9 police dog searched the vehicle and found crack cocaine that was packaged for sale, methamphetamine, prescription pills, drug paraphernalia, brass knuckles, and money.
Felicia Bruning, 40, homeless, was arrested. She was charged with two counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, weapons in a motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle without a license.
She was released on $15,000 bond and given a court date of July 16.
