"As I write this, my heart is full," she wrote on Facebook. "Bittersweet is the only way to describe it."
Buford's has been around under numerous owners for over 60 years, according to The Connecticut Scoop.
"I've been blessed to watch families start, grow, and mature," Ryone wrote. "I've said goodbye to those who are no longer with us. I've shared in your joys and your pain, and you have shared in mine. We've laughed together, cried together, and made memories I will carry with me always.
"Now, as I step into retirement, it's time for me to turn the page and begin a new chapter. But I will carry this one with me always-every smile, every kind word, every moment that made it all so worthwhile."
