• YouTuber SeanPaul Reyes found guilty of trespassing at ex-state trooper's home (thehour.com) — A YouTuber known for "First Amendment audits" has been found guilty of criminal trespassing after going onto a former state trooper's posted property in Groton, receiving a suspended three‑month sentence, probation, and long‑term protective orders. The judge ruled that "private road" signs on the driveway gave clear notice the area wasn't open to the public, rejecting the defendant's claim he was acting as a journalist.
   

• Faith For The Future: Annual Catholic Elementary School Collection Set for Sept. 12–13 (norwichdiocese.org subscription) — Catholic families in Groton should know that Sacred Heart School here will share in the Diocese of Norwich's Faith For The Future collection on Sept. 12–13. Parishioner donations that weekend, or dropped off later, will help sustain Catholic elementary schools' academics and faith‑based programs across the region, including right in town.
