GROTON, CT — A man was arrested after police say he was caught doing 147 MPH on I-395 in Putnam.
A state trooper spotted a speeding BMW M3 in a 65-MPH zone near exit 46 at 9:06 p.m. Wednesday. The trooper clocked the car traveling at 147 MPH.
The trooper caught up to the BMW and conducted a traffic stop near the area of exit 43 in Danielson.
Orlando Perez, 19, of Groton, was taken into custody and charged with reckless driving.
He was released on $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Danielson Superior Court on Oct. 21.
