City Of Groton Releases Leaf Pickup Schedule For Fall 2026

GROTON, CT — The City of Groton has released its leaf collection schedule for the fall.

The city posted the following on Facebook:

The City of Groton Public Works Department will collect leaves on the following Wednesdays:

October: 14, 21 & 28
November: 4 & 18
December: 2 — final fall collection

No leaf collection on November 11 or November 25.

Before you rake, remember:

Place leaves only in biodegradable paper bags, trash cans or cardboard boxes no larger than 35 gallons.
No plastic bags or grass clippings will be collected.
Keep leaves out of streets and roads. They can clog catch basins and cause drainage problems.
Put tree twigs and hedge trimmings in your regular trash.
