Why are you seeking this office?
I'm running to continue to make a difference in my community, and to continue to be the voice of the next generation. As a Groton resident all my life this region has given me so much, and I want Groton and New London to continue to be the great places they are.
What do you believe is the No. 1 issue facing Connecticut, and how do you plan to address it?
The #1 issue is affordability. The ways to address is to provide more state aid to the municipalities for local services and Public Schools, to offset property tax increases, creation of State Health Insurance Option, to compete with insurance companies and help lower costs, and free the state gas and diesel tax for the winter months.
Energy costs have been soaring in Connecticut. What are your plans to help address this issue?
Continue to provide state funding for energy efficiency infrastructure upgrades, support more renewable energy development projects such as wind and solar to produce more energy, allow Public Utilities to expand easier into for Profit companies territory.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
In my current 2 of my many accomplishments are securing more then $163 million dollars for Groton and New London, and the passage of a bi-partisan bill that I worked on allowing retiring military members easier access to the trades through a state partnership between the unions and the State Military Department.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I don't call my constituents, constituents, I call them my employers cause I truly work for them.
