Armed Man In Standoff With Groton Police Continues Wednesday
Residents are urged to remain inside their homes. The suspect is barricaded inside a home.

GROTON, CT — An armed man is involved in a stand-off with Groton Police at 8 Orion Avenue, the New London Day reports. Neighbors are urged to remain indoors. The incident began at 7:20 p.m. after police responded to a report of shots fired inside the home, the Day reports.
As of 7:30 a.m. Wednesday the situation remains unresolved. A shelter-in-place has been ordered and a SWAT team is on the scene, NBC Connecticut reports. Police say it's a “confined incident” and there is no danger to the public, according to NBC CT.
Schools are operating on a normal schedule.
