The world's largest, most expensive, and beautiful Pearl?
Pearls have long been known for their classic sophistication, but the world's largest and most expensive pearl is not exactly a natural beauty.

Pearls have long been known for their classic sophistication, but the world’s largest and most expensive pearl is not exactly a natural beauty.
This unusual pearl is called The Pearl of Lao Tzu or the Pearl of Allah and is approximately 31,893.5 carats! It weighs 14.1 lbs and measures 9.45 inches in diameter. It was found in a giant clam in the Philippines in 1934 and later given to an American, Wilburn Cobb, as a gift for saving the life of the chief’s son.
While most pearls are prized for their beautiful luster and sheen, this pearl has neither. Unlike oysters and mussels, the interiors of giant clams do not have any nacre so their pearls are not iridescent. It may not be beautiful, but this pearl is worth up to $93 million!
