The Jabez Smith House (259 North Road) will host its annual Connecticut Open House Day on Saturday, June 13, 2026. This rain-or-shine event runs from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM and offers free family-friendly historical activities.
Key highlights of the event include:Historical Tours: Explore the nearly unchanged 1783 Colonial home.
Liberty Tree Dedication: A special ceremony to honor Jabez Smith Jr., a Lieutenant of the Marines in the American Revolution, held at 1:00 PM by the Sons of the American Revolution.
Living History: Authentic historical encampments, 18th-century games and crafts, and live farm animals.
