UPDATE: Child, 4, Dies from Critical Injuries Sustained in Groton Car Crash: Police

The girl was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital with critical injuries.

UPDATE: The still yet unidentified child who sustained life-threatening injuries from the crash has died, according to NBC Connecticut. No further details have been made available yet.

GROTON, CT – A 4-year old girl was critically injured in car crash in Groton late Monday afternoon, The Day reported.

The child was critically injured during a two-car crash at the intersection of Packer Road and state Route 184, according to The Day. The girl was then transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital with life-threatening injures.

The girl’s mother and father were also taken to the hospital as a precaution, The Day reported. Route 184 was closed Cow Hill Road in both directions until close to midnight.
