City Of Groton Releases Information On Fall Leaf Collection

GROTON, CT — The City of Groton has released information on leaf collection and posted the following on Facebook:

"Leaf collection will take place each Wednesday through December 4 (with exception of November 27, there will be NO collection that day). Please ensure leaves are in biodegradable paper bags, trash cans, or cardboard boxes. Leaves in plastic bags will NOT be accepted. Thanks for your cooperation! Any questions, call (860) 446-4127.

"Please do not sweep your leaves into the street or road. Leaves accumulate into the catch basins and clog them up creating drainage problems."
