City of Groton, Utilities Offices Closed Monday, Oct. 6
After carpet was pulled up, questions were raised on the residue found underneath.

The City of Groton and Groton Utilities offices are closed today, Monday, October 6.
Within the past few days, carpet has been pulled in the building. A question was raised about whether or not the residue under the carpet was carpet glue or old tile mastic. Our asbestos management plan requires us to close any area where there was a possibility of exposure. At this point we do not know whether there was any exposure or not. Mystic Air Quality was here to test the air quality and we should have the results this afternoon.
