Cops: Mystic Man Fired Crossbow At Victim
Police say Francisco Rolon, 40, yelled 'this is how you kill someone,' as he fired a crossbow toward a woman Thursday night in Mystic.

MYSTIC, CT — Police charged a Mystic man with firing an arrow form a crossbow at a woman outside an efficiency apartment complex Thursday night and shouting, "this is how you kill someone."
According to Groton police detectives, officers responded at around 9:40 p.m. to Sunny’s Market on Gold Star Highwayfor a report of a car being hit by an arrow.
The owner of the car told cops she had gone to the Colonial Efficiency Apartments and there was met by Francisco Rolon, 40, who was standing outside of his apartment. She said Rolon told her, “this is how you kill someone," and then went inside his apartment and then came back out with a crossbow. He fired toward her but the arrow struck the rear passenger door of her car. She wasn't hurt.

Police went to the apartment and, "due to the violent nature of the call," surrounded the complex and tried to contact him. At 12:30 a.m., hours after arriving and, police said, after several unsuccessful attempts to make contact with him, police saw him try to run out a back door. He did not get away.
Rolon complied and was taken into custody. He was charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit, Assault in the 1st Degree, Threatening in the 1st Degree, Threatening in the 2nd Degree, Breach of Peace in the 2nd Degree, Reckless Endangerment, Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree, and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon. He was held on a $150,000 bond. Police also learned Rolon was on parole and so was remanded.

Meanwhile, police found Rolon's girlfriend inside the apartment and discovered there was an active arrest warrant for her arrest. Alexandra Moya, 34, of 197 Huntington St., New London was charged with violation of probation.
