Driver Seriously Injured In Mystic Crash: Police
A person was flown to the hospital after a pickup truck went down an embankment Friday morning.

GROTON, CT — A person was seriously injured after a pickup truck went down an embankment in Mystic, according to Town of Groton police.
Police received a call at 8:23 a.m. reporting an accident on Yetter Road.
Police arrived and found a pickup truck had gone down the embankment with the driver trapped inside.

Emergency personnel extracted the driver who was then flown by Life Star helicopter to Hartford Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Emergency responders included the Old Mystic Fire Department Heavy Rescue, the Mystic Fire Department, Mystic River Ambulance, and Lawrence & Memorial Paramedics.

The crash is under investigation.
