Price range: Soups and salads $2.50 to $6; appetizers $4.50 to $9; sushi rolls $4.50 to $18; sushi/sashimi and kitchen entrees $13 to $27; hibachi $16 to $32

Take-out: Yes

Kid-friendly:  Menu for children under 10, plus your kids will probably find hibachi stunts with fire, sharp knives, and flying eggs very entertaining, but if they're the type of kids to whine about raw fish, please do us all a favor and leave them at home.

Why you should go right now:  The same hibachi stunts that your kids will love--you'll love them too.  You can never outgrow the thrill of feeling your eyebrows get singed.  Koto is also a great place for dates, and it has a great bar that serves drinks with fun names like the Mutant Ninja Turtle and the Happy Sumo.  For sushi, try the Viking Roll--smoked eel, avocado, and tempura topped with yellowtail, salmon, tunu, tobiko, scallion, and spicy mayo.

If you still need another reason: Sake bombs.
