Please join us in a coastal cleanup of Avery Point at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 17th.
This cleanup event is part of the International Coastal Cleanup, which is coordinated in Connecticut by Save the Sound, a program of Connecticut Fund for the Environment.
Volunteers are needed to pick up trash and collect data for the Ocean Conservancy, which will compile information from around the world and study it to learn more about the global debris problem, educate the public, and find solutions for stopping marine debris at its source.
To join the cleanup, please contact Eli or Melanie Cipher at (860) 446-1611, or meet up at the Avery Point Lighthouse at 2 p.m. on the 17th.
