The Riverfront Children’s Center of Groton, in collaboration with Mitchell College Cultural Program Advisory Committee,
will host a performance of MAKROKOSMOS, volume I & II, at the Mitchell College Clarke Auditorium in New London, on Saturday, March 24, 2012, at 5pm. Canadian pianist Lucas Wong will perform the rarely presented monumental work by George Crumb.
Dr. Wong is a multi-faceted pianist and a keen
interpreter of contemporary works, earning him a reputation as a diversified soloist, chamber musician, teacher and repetiteur. He performs worldwide and is
in demand as both a collaborator and accompanist. Wong has recently been associated with the Yale Department of Music, Yale Opera and Yale Institute of Sacred Music, Julliard School of Music and New York City Opera, among others.
