Friday Evening will be brought to us by Astromers Derek and Gavin. Friday's sky will be a bit more than a quarter moon setting around 10:00. Mars and Saturn both set around 9:50. Mars should be up and visible early in the night.
On the subject of stars, the Vega, Deneb, and Altair make up the summer triangle will be very prominent overhead,

In the summer triangle there are several objects, M57 and M27 being two great nebulous to view. A little further west is M13 (The great globular cluster in Hercules).
The pictures included here show color, the color will not be apparent to the eye through a telescope. Color is only seen with the eye in a few celestial objects, planets and stars. To demonstrate color Albirio, a binary star in
Cygnus can be targeted.
