Coed / Reverse Coed Fours (4s) ... "fun" and "competitive" levels!!!
The Sandbox is proud to announce the 2011 Esker Point Beach Volleyball Tournament Series, taking place this summer at Esker Point beach in Groton, CT. Here’s what you need to know to get in the game!

Date: July 30th (Saturday)
Schedule:
• 8:30 am - checkin and warmup
• 9:00 am - 1st match start
• 1:00 pm – estimated time that some nets will be available for pickup play
• 3:00 pm – estimated time that final matches will occur
Format: Coed / Reverse Coed Fours (4s) ... at least one (1) female player on the court at all times. Pool play with single elimination finals. Play against each team in your pool on a mens height net (Coed) and a womens height net (Reverse Coed). Men cannot block or hit in front of the 10' marker on the womens height net
Divisions: Two levels of play ... B (fun recreational) and A (competitive). Divisions may be combined at the discretion of the coordinator.
Number of Teams: 40 teams maximum; divisions filled on first-come, first-served basis. Advance registration (see below) is HIGHLY recommended! Walk-ons will be accommodated as able.
Entry Fee: $100 per team ($10 discount for each member of The Sandbox).

• $300 minimum prize purse (1st and 2nd place only) for any division with 10 or more teams.

$15 per year (Jan – Dec) per person. Membership is required for each participant and provides insurance, sponsor prizes and national ranking for all The Sandbox, EEVB, NVC, GAV and other Volley America events.

The 2011 Esker Point Beach Volleyball Tournament Series is hosted by The Sandbox – Indoor Beach Sport, located in Mystic CT, in concert with the Town of Groton, Parks and Recreation Department.
Dates and Formats for the 2011 Esker Point Beach Volleyball Tournament Series:
June 19th (Sunday) – Mens, Womens and Coed Doubles (2s), all levels; $60 per team
July 30th (Saturday) - Coed / Reverse Coed Fours (4s), “just-for-fun” and competitive levels (lower and upper); $100 per team
August 27th (Saturday) - Mens / Womens / Coed 2s, all levels; $60 per team
September 17th (Saturday) - Mens / Womens / Coed 2s, all levels; $60 per team
