Groton Parks & Recreation is holding a DEP State Boating Course on March 14, 16 & 18, from 5:30 – 8:30 PM at William Seely School. This class is open to individuals ages 10 & older. Class fee is $20 per student.
This Basic Boating class fulfills the education requirements for the Connecticut Certificate of Personal Watercraft Operation. This Personal Watercraft Operator’s Certificate allow boaters to operate a motor vessel, including personal watercraft (Jet Ski type boat), in the State of Connecticut. Students must attend ALL classes to qualify.
Two additional classes are being offered on April 4, 6, & 8 and May 2, 4, & 6. A complete listing of recreation programs offered and on-line registration is available at grotonrec.com or registration is accepted by mail or in person at the Recreation office in Noank.
