Professor Robert Baldwin, an art history professor at Connecticut College, will present a slide lecture on Gauguin’s Tahiti. Part of the lecture will focus on Gauguin’s mural "Where Do We Come From? What Are We? Where Are We Going?"—one of his major works. Baldwin’s lecture precedes by a few days, "Gauguin: Maker of Myth", an exhibition set to open at The National Gallery of Art in Washington on February 27—the first major exhibition of Gauguin’s work in the United States in 20 years. This program is free and open to the public. No registration is required. For more information, call the Library at 860—441-6750.
