World of Words Ireland kicks off at the Groton Public Library on Wednesday, March 2 at 7 p.m. with an Irish Family Concert performed by Tom O’Carroll, a singer and humorist from Dublin. His scholarship and virtuosity on a variety of musical instruments have made him popular with audiences throughout New England. O’Carroll has been singing songs and playing tunes of his native Ireland for over 30 years. He enlivens these programs with his trademark humor and an incredible stock of stories and anecdotes.
