La Sonnambula

Headlining Salt Marsh Opera's eleventh season is Vincenzo Bellini's bel canto opera, La Sonnambula (The Sleepwalker), to be performed at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, 300 Main Street in Old Saybrook, at 8pm on Friday, October 21.  Sung in Italian with English supertitles, the two-act La Sonnambula is a glittering operatic fantasy with a tender score and an innocent story about a sleepwalking peasant girl, as hauntingly lyrical as it is visual.  Tickets for La Sonnambula at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center are available from $55 to $65 by calling The Kate box office at 877-503-1286 or by visiting www.thekate.org.
