On Monday, September 12, at 2 p.m., the Library will show the film, The Soloist, based on a true story that reporter Steve Lopez wrote about a homeless man in Southern California. Nathaniel Ayers attended the Julliard School of Music until mental illness forced him to leave the school. Now his beautiful music, played on a two string violin, attracts Lopez’s attention. Robert Downey Jr. stars as Lopez and Jamie Foxx portrays Ayers. The movie runs for 117 minutes and is rated PG 13. No registration required. Free popcorn!
