Mother Nature's Child: Growing Outdoors in the Media Age

The Groton Public Library will be screen the film, Mother Nature's Child: Growing Outdoors in the Media Age. The film explores nature’s powerful role in children’s health and development through the experience of toddlers, children in middle childhood and adolescents. The showing is being cosponsored by the Library, Groton Parks and Recreation, Avalonia Land Conservancy and the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center. The Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection will supply a facilitator who will introduce the state's new Environmental Literacy Plan and moderate the discussion of the film.  In conjunction with the showing of the film, sponsoring agencies will have information regarding their activities.
