Registration for DEP State Boating: Class Dates Feb. 14, 15, & 16 5:30 - 8:30 pm held at Wm Seely School

Beat the rush before the boating season begins and people realize they need their boating certificate and are looking for openings in a class. 

Groton Parks and Recreation is holding two separate DEP State Boating sessions; one in February and another in March.  February Session is Feb. 14, 15, & 16; March Session is March 20, 21, 22.  Participants must attend all classes in their session to qualify. 

These classes fulfill the education requirements for the CT Certificate of Personal Watercraft Operation, which boaters need to operate a motor vessel, including personal watercraft (Jet Ski type boats), in the State of Connecticut.

Registration fee is $20 per person and is open to individuals ages 10 & older.  To sign up for either of these classes, register on-line at grotonrec.com or through the Recreation office in Noank (office hours M-F, 8:30 - 4:30 PM).  Call 860-536-5680 for details on registering for these classes or other programs being offered through Groton Parks and Recreation.
