Families Displaced, Firefighter Injured In Groton Duplex Blaze: Reports

It took crews nearly an hour to bring the fire under control Monday evening, according to reports.

GROTON, CT — A fire Monday evening left seven people displaced and one firefighter injured, according to WFSB 3-TV.

The blaze was in the area of Joliet Court at 5:32 p.m. Crews brought the fire under control at around 6:20 p.m.

The fire significantly damaged both sides of a duplex.

A firefighter suffered minor burns, according to The Day of New London. Some animals at the homes were still unaccounted for Monday night.

Four adults and three children were displaced.
