Mystic Fire Department was called around 9:00 am to 392 Noank Road in Mystic for a reported house fire. The first arriving units saw there was heavy smoke and fire coming from the rear of the house behind the kitchen. According to Mystic Fire Chief Frank Hilbert said that part of the home was completely destroyed by the fire while the second-floor, also in the rear, sustained extensive heat and water damage. He also said main house structure appears to be fine.
Firefighters put out the fire very quickly
In addition to Mystic, the Old Mystic fire department, the Naval Sub Base Fast Team also responded to the scene. Groton Ambulance and Lawrence + Memorial paramedics were on standby at the scene. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
