First Lady Jill Biden To Visit Groton This Week

GROTON, CT — First Lady Jill Biden and Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro will travel to Groton on Thursday to meet with families of the USS Delaware, according to The New London Day. Biden serves as sponsor of the submarine.

Biden and Del Toro will arrive at 4:30 p.m. at Groton-New London Airport. They will meet with families at a holiday gathering at the U.S. Submarine Veterans Club at 5:15, according to WFSB 3-TV. The event is hosted by United Through Reading.

Biden visited Connecticut in March along with Education Secretary Miguel Cardona, a Meriden native. The pair toured Ben Franklin Elementary School in Meriden.
