First Season of Groton Farmers Market a Success

Thanks to Cindy Barry of Ledge Light Health District and with the support of Mayor Galbraith, city staff and the local community, the 2016 Groton City Field of Greens Farmers’ Market was a huge success.

In its first season, the vendors reported over $52,000 in total sales.

Many first year vendors were so pleased with the success of this local market, hosted in Washington Park, most have signed on for another season to begin July 11.
