Forking Over A Few More Jacksons

Water Pollution rates go up July 1. Not a lot, relatively speaking, but an increase is, well, an increase.

As increases go, it’s not huge. But no matter how you look at it, the water/sewer rates are going up and that means a couple of extra sawbucks-plus out of your pocket.

The Town of Groton Water Pollution Control Authority adopted its new rate schedule in May, but it goes into effect July 1.

The residential charge goes from $26 to $28 a month and the industrial/commercial rates also increased albeit by $.0.0032 per cubic foot of water or to $0.04460 per cubic foot of water consumed for each industrial or commercial property.
