Fourth of July weekend is here! And as usual, we’re telling you to get out there and celebrate! And no, watching previews for the new Captain America movie on repeat doesn’t count. So deck yourself out in your finest red, white and blue—or at least your favorite Old Navy flag T-shirt—and get your Fourth on!

WHERE/WHEN: This weekend’s performances at The Goodspeed in East Haddam: Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 3 and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 and 6:30 p.m.
WHY GO: It’s opening weekend for the American musical! Show runs until Sept. 11.
PRICING: Tickets start at $31.50 each.

WHERE/WHEN: Sunday at 6 p.m. on the Lighthouse grounds at Stonington Point.
WHY GO: This kickoff performance, “Broadway Favorites,” will be performed by the Salt Marsh Opera. Bring the family and a blanket!
PRICING: Proceeds benefit the Stonington Historical Society and Salt Marsh Opera. Tickets are $20 at the gate and children under 12 are free.

WHY GO: Party like it’s 1876! The Seaport has it all with a dory race, civil war re-enactment, children’s parade, concert and more!
