WHERE/WHEN: Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Garde Arts Center in New London.

WHY GO: This educational program is sure to get the kids thinking—and it’s something parents will enjoy, too!

PRICING: Tickets are $18 for adults; $10 for students and children. Special rates available for aquarium members, groups and those attending multiple events in the series.

WHERE/WHEN: 1 p.m. Saturday at The Kate in Old Saybrook.

WHY GO: It’s classic Judy Blume on the local stage!

PRICING: Tickets are $12 for kids and $16 for adults.

WHERE/WHEN: Museum is located in Bristol and is open Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday 12 to 5 p.m.

WHY GO: Not only is it a fun daytrip, but they offer “edutaining” programs for kids. Keep this place in mind for birthday parties, too!

PRICING: $5 for adults; $2.50 kids 4 to 14; free for kids under 4.

WHERE/WHEN: The rink at Foxwoods is open Monday through Thursday 2 to 10 p.m., Friday 2 p.m. to midnight, Saturday noon to midnight and Sunday noon to 10 p.m.

WHY GO: The Grand Rink is only open until April 3. There’s only a few weeks left to sharpen those skating skills out on the ice!

PRICING: Adult skate admission is $10; skate rental $5. Child skate admission is $6; skate rental $2.

WHERE/WHEN: The museum in Essex is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

WHY GO: The museum offers summer adventure camps, so now is a great time to check out the facility with the kids!

PRICING: Museum admission is $8 for adults and $5 for kids ages 6 to 12.
