Groton Announces Grab-N-Go Meals Program

GROTON, CT — The Groton Public Schools announced its participation in a federally funded Grab-N-Go meal service. Under this program, nutritious breakfast and lunch packages will be provided to all children 18 years and under free of charge. Children will not be allowed to eat on site. They must take their meals with them, to-go style. The program begins March 16th, and is available Monday-Friday while schools are closed as a result of COVID-19. Breakfast and lunch packages will be distributed together each morning from 9-9:30am at the Groton Public Library (52 Newtown Road), Mary Morrisson Elementary School (154 Toll Gate Road), and West Side STEM Magnet Middle School (250 Brandegee Ave).

In addition, the Groton Senior Center will begin providing Take-Out meals, at cost, on Tuesday, March 17th. Take-Out meals must be called in by 10:30am on the desired day. Pick up will be between 11:30am and 12:30pm. Pick up instructions will be given at the time the order is placed. Limited delivery service will be available.
