Groton Cinema 6 Closes Without Warning

Anyone hoping to see “Ant-Man” or “Inside Out” at Groton Cinema 6 will have to find another theatre. According to The Day, the Groton theater closed without warning on Sunday, Aug. 23.

Officials in the town of Groton reportedly said they were not aware of the theater closing ahead of the time. A staff member at a nearby grocery store said he saw trucks at the theater and thought they were moving things in or out.

The Fandango and Movie Tickets websites both say online ticketing is not available. Seven people reviewed Groton Cinema 6 on Yelp and the prevailing sentiment was that the theater was outdated.
