Groton Emergency Management Participating in Home Fire Preparedness Campaign
The department is looking to gauge interest from residents.

The Groton Office of Emergency Management, in cooperation with the Connecticut Chapter of the Red Cross, is engaging in the Home Fire Preparedness Campaign. We, along with Red Cross, volunteers will be taking a weekend in the near future to install smoke detectors (up to three) or just perform maintainance on your existing detectors over a couple of weeks in April/May.
Before taking on this worthwhile task, we are looking to gauge interest among our residents. Please respond to this post if you or someone you know would like to take advantage of the program or would like to volunteer to help install detectors. We have a great town and great residents; let’s help the Red Cross!
