Groton Extends Town Manager's Contract: Report

GROTON, CT — The Groton Town Council voted Wednesday to extend Town Manager John Burt’s contract by another year, the New London Day reported. The decision came after a recent positive performance evaluation of Burt.

According to the New London Day, Burt's employment term was set to end on July 4, 2023, but will now end July 4, 2024. He became town manager in July 2017. (To sign up for Groton breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
