Groton Housing Authority Gains Meriden Agency Director
He will step into power in Groton while stepping away from Waterbury.

MERIDEN, CT – Meriden Housing Authority Director Robert Cappelletti is taking on a leadership role at the Groton Housing Authority, forcing him to step away from his Waterbury position, myrecordjournal.com reported.
The Groton position will share bookkeeping and office support services with the MHA, according to myrecordjournal.com. A similar system was in place for the Waterbury Housing Authority, with whom Cappelletti is now working out a separation agreement.
The WHA had been labeled by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development as a “troubled” agency before Cappelletti arrived in 2014, myrecordjournal.com reported. The separation agreement is expected to be finalized at Tuesday’s Board of Commissioners meeting.
