Groton Man Accused Of Lying About Community Service: Report
State police said a Groton man has been charged with fraudulently claiming he completed 100 hours of court-ordered community service.

GROTON, CT – State police said a Groton man has been charged with fraudulently claiming he completed 100 hours of court-ordered community service, the New London Day reported. The accused turned himself in on Oct. 26 in Westbrook after a warrant was signed for his arrest, police said.
According to the New London Day, police said court officials contacted the Goodwill in Groton where Joshua Menard, 35, claimed to have volunteered 90 hours and were told by a supervisor the accused had never worked there and had submitted an obsolete form.
