Groton Man Arrested After Buying Marijuana with Counterfeit Money, Using Stun Gun: Report

Police arrested two men after they allegedly bought weed with counterfeit money and used a stun gun when confronted.

GROTON, CT - Police arrested two men in connection to a drug deal and robbery on Monday, as reported by The Day.

Desmond J. Hodges, 23, of New London and Liddell L. Reese, 23, of Groton were both arrested following a drug deal, according to The Day. Officers said the incident occurred after an unidentified victim texted Reese about buying marijuana from him.

After meeting, the two suspects gave the victim $200 in counterfeit money and took the marijuana, The Day reported. Police said Hodges used a stun gun on the victim’s back after the two were confronted.
