Groton Man Arrested After Domestic Incident Results in Woman’s Skull Bleeding

GROTON, CT – A Groton man was arrested after a domestic incident Sunday that resulted in a woman’s skull bleeding, The Day reported.

The victim, 52, said Mark Martin, 31, punched and strangled her, according to The Day. Police found a blood-like substance and shattered glass on the floor, as well as a table lamp with blood on its base.

The victim had swelling and bruising around her right eye and dried blood on both her cheeks and upper mouth, as well as her shirt, The Day reported. The woman was brought to the hospital and found to have bleeding in the brain among other things.
