Groton Man Charged With Assault On Officers: Police
The man was also arrested last month in connection with a reported attempted kidnapping, according to police.
GROTON, CT — A man was charged with assaulting two police officers in Groton, according to police.
Police responded to a report of a fight at the Branford Manor apartment complex at 3:58 p.m. Monday.
Police investigated and arrested Jesse Vanwhy, 43, of Groton. Vanwhy was also arrested for assaulting two police officers.

He was charged with two counts of assault on a police officer, breach of peace, and first-degree criminal trespassing.
He was held on $25,000 cash/surety bond and was scheduled to appear for arraignment in New London Superior Court on Tuesday.

Vanwhy was also arrested last month after a report of an attempted kidnapping.
"The incident was determined to not be an attempted kidnapping however charges were pursued," police said in a statement.
