A man accused of possessing and distributing child pornography, among other allegations, has been sentenced to prison, prosecutors said.
GROTON, CT — A Groton man has been sentenced to more than seven years in prison for child exploitation, according to a statement from David X. Sullivan, U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
Ryan Cameron, 23, was also sentenced to 20 years of supervised release in Hartford federal court Wednesday.
Prosecutors said Cameron was convicted in state court in 2023 of illegal distribution of intimate images of a 15-year-old girl.

In April 2024, a probation officer visited his home and found Cameron had a cell phone in violation of his probation conditions.
A forensic analysis of the phone found that it contained "videos of child sexual abuse and messages between Cameron and others in which Cameron solicited and distributed child pornography," according to prosecutors.
