Groton Officials Showing Education Center Property To Potential Developers

Groton officials have been showing the 77-acre Mystic Education Center property​ to potential developers.

GROTON, CT - Groton officials have been showing the Mystic Education Center property to potential developers, the New London Day reported. Town planning staff hope to issue a request for development proposals in the fall.

The town has held about 20 showings of the property since the fall, according to the New London Day. The center, formally known as the Mystic Oral School, has served as a residential school for the deaf and has been used by a number of groups in need of practice fields. About half of the 77 acres of land the property encompasses is developable, the New London Day reported. The property has been vacant since 2011.
