Groton Police Arrest 3, Seize Drugs: Report

Groton police said officers arrested three people and seized drugs and a handgun as a result.

GROTON, CT — Groton police said officers arrested three people Monday and seized both drugs and a handgun as a result, the New London Day reported. The arrest came after officers pulled the accused men's vehicle over on King's Highway, police said.

According to the Day, police said officers were subsequently led to a hotel room, where they seized both powder cocaine and crack cocaine. A .45-caliber handgun was also seized, police said.

Police said 26-year-old Jonathan Colon of Meriden, 35-year-old Denetria L. Griffin of New London and 41-year-old Trevor Julius of New London were all arrested on charges related to the incident, according to the Day. Police said Julius allegedly had a toddler with him and was charged with risk of injury to a minor.
