Groton Police Arrest Two Teens on Robbery, Weapon Charges

A firearm was allegedly displayed in the Groton Bank area in June 2015.

Groton police arrested two teenagers on Monday, July 6, on assorted robbery and weapons charges.

On June 1, Groton Police responded to a report of a robbery, during which a firearm was allegedly displayed in the Groton Bank area.

During a weeks-long investigation by the City of Groton Detective and Patrol Divisions, two juvenile males were identified and arrest warrants issued.

Both teenagers were arrested without incident. According to Groton Police, one of the arrested teenagers was already in state custody on unrelated charges.

Both are currently held at the Hartford Juvenile Detention Center and are awaiting court dates.
